Ken has since retired as a member of ASHRAE (the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), AEE (Association of Energy Engineers), and is still a member of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers ) where Ken serves on the ASME QFO Committee.

Ken is also a member of the Route 40 Business Association , a non-profit corporation run by the local businessmen along the U.S. Route 40 corridor in Harford County, Maryland.
