This course teaches boiler operators the basic elements of combustion turbine operation to aid them in the conversion from a typical steam plant to a modern cogeneration plant. Specialized training for the equipment they will be operating should follow. 8 hours classroom, up to ten operators - $1,200 plus travel and living expenses for sites outside the Baltimore, Maryland, metropolitan area.
This is a five day course that begins with developing an understanding of how water becomes corrosive and scale is formed to destroy or reduce efficiency of boilers and associated equipment. An understanding of the basics of water chemistry are presented in an entertaining manner. The many options of treating water are presented leading the attendee through the pretreatment systems to chemical water treatment and blowdown. 40 hours classroom training for up to twelve operators - $5,000 plus travel and living expenses for sites outside the Baltimore, Maryland, metropolitan area.
